| TNI AL Strengthens Legal Capabilities with Civil Case Management Workshop 2025. |
Star News INDONESIA, Monday, (03 November 2025). JAKARTA - In its continued effort to enhance the capabilities of Navy personnel serving as legal advisors, the Indonesian Navy (TNI AL) through its Legal Service Department (Diskum TNI AL) is holding a Technical Guidance on Civil Case Management (Bintek Pengolahan Perkara Perdata) Fiscal Year 2025 at the Disminpersal CAT Room, Navy Headquarters, Cilangkap, East Jakarta, beginning Monday (Nov 3).
The five-day training program, officially opened by the Head of the Navy Legal Service (Kadiskum TNI AL), First Admiral Dr. Ali Ridlo, brings together 30 participants consisting of junior officers, non-commissioned officers, enlisted personnel, and civil servants from various Navy units. The program also features guest lecturers from the Faculty of Law, University of Indonesia (UI).
In his opening remarks, Admiral Ridlo emphasized that private law or civil law plays a significant role in daily life, covering family, business, cooperation, and banking matters. He noted that resolving civil disputes requires comprehensive legal understanding—whether through mediation or court proceedings—making technical legal training essential for Navy personnel tasked with handling such matters.
“Technical training like this is vital to ensure that Navy legal officers can address civil cases thoroughly and effectively,” Admiral Ridlo stated.
The initiative aligns with the directive of Chief of Naval Staff (Kasal) Admiral Dr. Muhammad Ali, who has repeatedly underscored the importance of professional development and continuous learning among all Navy personnel. He has called on every member of the Jalasena (Navy Corps) to sharpen their skills and uphold professionalism as part of the Navy’s commitment to advancing human resource development.
By strengthening the legal proficiency of its personnel, the Indonesian Navy continues to uphold integrity, professionalism, and readiness—not only at sea but also in the realm of law and justice.
